Carie Decker’s love of dogs began long before the idea of The Dapper Dog was born. When her grand dog Stevie was attending a doggie daycare in Oxford, Mississippi while her daughter MayCee attended college, Carie realized that Stephenville was missing out on a huge opportunity! The Dapper Dog was born with Stevie as the face and the love that Carie has for dogs in mind. Carie and Chad Decker are parents to Allie Grace ad MayCee Decker, fur parents to Baylee and Remi Jean and fur grandparents to Stevie and Charly.
Meet Amy Flippin, a proud resident of Stephenville, Texas, where she lived on and off her entire life. After graduating from Tarleton in 2002, Amy began her career in teaching in Houston. However, in 2005, she decided to take time off to become a stay-at-home mom. It wasn’t until several years later that she discovered her true passion for working with dogs, which led her to work at Gimmie A Bark in Friendswood, Texas. Recently, she and her family returned to Stephenville, where they now reside. Amy is happily married to Mike Flippin, and they have three children – Anika, Jacob, and Abigail – as well as four furry family members: Samantha, Wena, Dakota, and Coral Blue. Amy is deeply passionate about dog nutrition, enrichment activities, and everything related to our four-legged companions.
We’re thrilled to introduce you to The Dapper Dog, which we opened in Stephenville back in 2022. Our furry friends are our top priority, and we’re committed to providing them with a delightful haven to play and relax. Our own beloved pets, Remi Jean and Baylee, as well as our grand-dogs Stevie and Charly, inspire us to offer the best care possible.
Stevie, our original “golden girl,” was the inspiration behind The Dapper Dog. She is our poster pup and the face of our logo. When Carie and Chad’s oldest daughter MayCee attended the University of Mississippi, Stevie attended daycare in Oxford. As a family of dog lovers, Carie felt that Stephenville needed a similar luxury boarding and daycare facility, thus The Dapper Dog was created.
Our facility is designed to provide a playful atmosphere with luxurious amenities, ensuring that your furry companion has a fantastic time while you’re away. Our dedicated team will give your dog the utmost care and attention, making us their home away from home in no time!
